Bankstown Golf Club

Bankstown Golf Club is a classic south-west Sydney test with more bite than the calm setting first suggests. Established in 1928, the club's 18-hole championship course runs through eucalypts, native bushland, bunkering, water hazards and stretches near the Georges River. From the black tees it plays as a 6,068-metre par 71 for men, with the official course notes pointing to tight landing areas and demanding club selection rather than simple power. The clubhouse, catering and event setup are strong, but the golf remains the reason to go: strategic, tree-lined and proud of its old-school challenge.
