Tieke Golf Estate has quickly become one of Waikato’s most interesting modern courses. Reworked from the former Lochiel layout, it now carries a sharper identity with bold shaping, strong turf presentation, and a resort-style welcome close to Hamilton. The course is playable enough for everyday golfers, but the best holes ask for smart positioning and a confident short game. Its rise in national rankings reflects how much energy has gone into the property: better strategy, better conditioning, and a clearer sense of occasion. It feels like a course still climbing.
