Te Arai Links is the public-facing heavyweight beside Tara Iti, with the South Course by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and the North Course by Tom Doak giving the coast two distinct voices. The South rolls over rumpled sandy ground with wide invitations and clever internal contour; the North pushes harder into drama, views, and sharper strategic questions. Together they have made Mangawhai one of world golf’s must-plan destinations. The scale is resort polished, but the golf is grounded in wind, sand, angles, and the simple pleasure of a ball running forever across firm turf.
