Glen Iris Golf Course, previously known as The Lakes, was a public 18-hole par-71 championship golf course in Jandakot that operated from the 1990s until its closure in 2020. The 5,665-metre layout featured eight ornamental lakes, providing exciting risk-reward par-5s and challenging par-4s. A welcoming clubhouse, a bar, and a floodlit driving range attracted both social and corporate golfers for nearly 25 years, before the site was redeveloped for housing.
Parkland set among tall trees and lakes that rewards thoughtful play; greens are generally true but fairways and bunkers can be patchy and weedy, and intermittent clubhouse closures and limited amenities dull the visitor experience.
