Ballarat Golf Club in Ballarat, VIC, is a historic 18-hole championship course, first established in 1895. In 2009 the course was completely redesigned by renowned architects Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett, transforming flat farmland into an undulating layout with waterways, creeks and native vegetation. The par-72 layout plays to approximately 6,283 metres from the back tees and offers tees suited to all levels of golfer. Practice facilities include a 13-bay covered and grass driving-range, a putting green, a chipping green and a full-size bunker. On-site amenities include a fully licensed clubhouse with restaurant, bar and function rooms, plus a fully stocked pro shop providing club hire, cart hire and club repair services. The club is open to the public, with green-fees for 18 or 9 holes, and hosts competitions, lessons and clinics throughout the year.
